Large Black-figure Corinthian aryballos
A large Corinthian aryballos. The vessel has a wide flat lip, loop handle below which a pair of well-painted and incised confronted roosters flanking a palmette-lotus altar, amid stars in field. Concentric circles decorate the base and ray band on lip. Excellent style.
Circa 580-550 BC.

Very Fine condition generally. A surface dig to the underside, otherwise complete and intact a few earthy accretions remaining.
