An attractive freestanding and good quality kidney shaped mahogany writing table. The back has a decorative pierced and shaped gallery with an unusual silver plated plaque of cherubs/putti floating in clouds. The cross banded top with carved edge detail and a replaced hand dyed writing surface with gold and blind tooling. The frieze with 2 shaped mahogany lined drawers which retain their original silver plated ring handles (with working locks and keys). The whole standing on elegant finely turned and fluted legs with shaped and moulded stretchers.
Size - Width 42''..107cm. Max depth 23''..58.5cm. Height 30''..76.5cm + up-stand 4''..10cm. Kneehole height 25''..63.5cm.
