A pretty satinwood ladies’ writing desk from the turn of the 20th century, this has inlaid detail, a fold down writing surface and sits on castors.

– Leaf folds down, to rest on opened drawer, to reveal black leather with gilt tooling for the writing surface.
– Small bevelled oval mirror inset above recesses for holding pens and inkwells, with small drawers either side.
– Larger drawer, which doubles as the support rest for the drop leaf.
– Stands on brown ceramic castors.
– Attractively carved central stretcher.
– Delicate inlaid foliate designs with flowers and border stringing.

An elegant working surface for a laptop, which will fit into a small space, is easy to move on castors, and will suit a formal interior.

In good condition, consistent with age and use. No key is available, although the lock is present.
