Greenock Scottish provincial silver teaspoon, 1826


This Greenock Scottish provincial teaspoon was made by John Heron.
The spoon's finial has been engraved to the underside.
John Heron worked as a silversmith in Greenock between 1790 and 1840.
This spoon however carries the mark for John, with Glasgow assay office marks.
The teaspoon is in good condition.
The spoon measures 14.5 cm (5.7") long, and weighs 22g.
