Good Pair of Giltwood Eagle Wall Lights
This is a most elegant pair of 19th century hand carved gilt-wood wall sconce with a very tasteful design. The wall lights are adorned with winged eagles posed looking towards each other beneath a typical Regency ribbon and bow design. The sconce bulb holders are in gilded wirework with gesso moulded lion heads and leaf detail. These have their original gilt finish which is in good condition with no damage or restoration. The four wirework branch arms have an urn shaped sconce with candle covers that house a standard small bayonet bulb.
The pair are in excellent condition ready to be professionally wired in and measure 42 cms high 38 cms wide by 20 cms deep.
