This is a good quality antique armchair in the 18th century style with a very attractive shape. The chair has a good high back with slender curved wings and elegant curving arms which are studded to the upholstery. The underframe is in solid mahogany with an attractively turned stretchers and elegant cabriole legs on pad feet.
The frame is sound and solid with no movement and the upholstery is in good order with lovely autumn colours to the fabric. The separate squab cushion is feather filled making this a most comfortable chair.
The proportions of the chair are really pleasing with this measuring 106 cms in height wide at the 78 cms arms (widest point) by 72 cms deep. The seat height is from the floor by wide and deep.
