Georgian Regency 19c mahogany elbow armchair chair
Antique Georgian Regency mahogany elbow chair with needlepoint seat. This would make a great desk, hall or feature chair.
A great rare find, with fantastic proportions and styling.
Lovely colour, age, patina and charm.
Solid and strong, with no loose joints.
The seat upholstery is needlepoint, not new or original, with some wear and marks.
Overall maximum dimensions
54.5cmW x 54cmD x 84cmH (44cmH seat when sat on).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. We have not inspected beneath the upholstery. Historic structural repairs as one would expect, but all is solid now. There are a few historical woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure. Later strengthen blocks have been added under the seat (not visible).
