George IV Ebonized Library Chair


Circa 1820. A good ebonized George IV library chair. The raised curved horseshoe shaped back, supported on various bobbin turned uprights and smaller balustrades. The shaped arms with carved leaves on the ends, are supported on shaped uprights, the drop in seat pad recently reupholstered traditionally, has the original cane seat beneath. Back legs are square and slightly out swept, front legs are turned ring turned and fluted and finish on brass castors.
