Solid oak, even the drawer bottoms are solid oak.
The Handles are all original although one drop has been replaced.
Internally it has a small row of secret drawers which II have never seen before on any other chests.
The only downside to this wonderful chest is the fact somebody over time has replaced the backboarding and dust liners with ply but it isn't seen.
Also as pictured there is a slight piece broken off the bottom of the rear right hand side bracket foot, this isn't something that is not noticeable unless looking for it.
