George III Mahogany Wingback Chair c. 1780
A large and exceptionally comfortable Georgian wing back armchair set on cabriole legs to front with carved scrolled hips and lovely splayed trifid feet. The back legs original also and gently raked.
A very heavy and robust 18th century chair with no weakness, creaks or loose joints.
The upholstery is a heavyweight burnt out velvet with leaf and stem pattern which I understand is a Liberty's upholstery fabric of fine quality. It is 'as new' with no marks, wear or damage whatsoever. The back panel is upholstered in a matching plain velvet.
This chair is very beautiful indeed and in excellent original condition throughout.
It is SO SO comfortable and spacious that you will never want to sit in another chair again!
Dimensions are:
34 inches wide, 38 inches deep and 43 inches high.
Floor to seat is 17 inches.
For metric please multiply by 2.5 I describe and photograph my pieces accurately and with the aim that on arrival each will exceed expectations.
I operate a full refund guarantee and am always happy to give free, honest and friendly advice.
