Impressive George II style gilded pier glass or wall mirror c.1890. 17″ x 33″ mirror plate within a fabulous carved and gilded frame. Topped with a large flume of three feathers carved in high relief and flanked with griffin heads over scrolling acanthus leaves. Shaped bottom edge with more scrolling leaves and a scallop shell motif at the centre. Some minor tarnish to the mirror, otherwise very good condition with the original gilding.
Dimensions: width 27″, depth 5″, height 52″.
