French Walnut Metamorphic Bed Reading Table
This unusual French bed table was conceived by E. Chouanard, one of the most respected French engineers and designers of the 19th century, this metamorphic table named "Table Soleil" and made of French walnut, can be used as a reading table, side table, bed table or an easel. The adjustable mechanisms offers varying heights with sideways and angle options. Raised on a turned reeded and fluted column joined to a sturdy and simple X-shaped base with applied carved detail and hidden casters. The whole in excellent useable condition with maker’s label.
