Framed John Vicat Cole Oil on Board Painting
Artist - John Vicat Cole (1903-1975), a British Royal Academy artist and a member of the Royal Society of British Artists
Title - Halliday's, Beauchamp Place
Details - Oil on board painting featuring an antique shop front scene. Signed by the artist in the lower right-hand corner. Framed and glazed in what appears to be its original wooden frame with a provenance label on the back stating the name of the painting, the artist and an old price. We acquired the painting from a London family who were given it in the 1990s by a foreign diplomat.
Condition - Overall in good condition with good colours. Please note that we have not removed the painting from the frame. The frame has some scuffing, knocking and wear as might be expected and some shrinkage cracking to the corners.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Visible Image Size - 39.5cm by 29.5cm
Frame - 60.5cm by 50cm, 5.5cm deep Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
