Exhibition quality rosewood Bonheur Du Jour / ladies desk.
Wonderful intricately inlaid central fall front panel enclosing fitted interior with velvet covered writing surface, flanked either side by bevel edged mirrored panels, beautiful fan inlays to the desk top, frieze drawer, raised on reeded legs terminating with ornate brass feet, the central section with pierced decoration and further inlay detail.
With marks / scuffs etc commensurate with age and use, this super desk is a real piece of outstanding craftmanship with great colour and figuring, it needs to be seen to be fully appreciated as it is not done justice by the photographs.
