A stunning and very pretty antique jewellery box made by one of the finest English silversmiths, Mappin and Webb of London.

The box stands on three delightful fleur-de-lys feet and the central cartouche is engraved with a very regal looking Armorial Crest of a Lion holding a crown. The lid fits well and once opened reveals a lavishly gilded interior, the interior is fine condition and appears to be totally original.

There is a full English hallmark on the underside for Birmingham 1912 together with the makers mark and a design registration number.

Excellent condition measuring 3" in diameter x 1 1/4" tall.
