A gorgeous vintage Stratton vanity set. The compact is suitable for Max Factor Creme Puff, as well as all standard (67 mm diameter) sizes of pressed powder. The original sifter is in place and so this convertible compact can also be used with loose face powder. The enamel is rendered to give the appearance of tortoise shell. The matching 'Lipview' will hold any standard size lipstick. The set does not have any traces of powder / lipstick. The makers applied lacquer to the set and so it will not tarnish or need to be cleaned. Both mirrors have give excellent clear reflections. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The original dummy tube, puff and sifter are in place. The exterior of the hard case is also in excellent condition. Both items are signed 'Stratton'. The compact measures 3 1/4" and weighs 100.5 grams. The 'Lipview' measures 2 1/2" and weighs 22.3 grams. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
