A most unusual example of a sterling and enamel box, which stands on three very regal fluted feet which span 2 1/2". The lid measures 2 1/2" in diameter and stands 7/8" tall.

Made from English sterling silver, it is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1923 together with the makers initials for the silversmith, Turner & Simpson.

The top is decorated with the most wonderful Amethyst coloured guilloche enamel in undamaged condition with a good shiny patina showcasing the fabulous engine turned decoration below.

The lid lifts off to reveal the original gilded interior.

Excellent condition.
