A Georgian period mercury wheel barometer. A mahogany case with an architectural pediment and original brass central finial. Ebonised and satinwood banded case edging and choice flame mahogany case veneers. A long engraved silvered dial. The main dial is engraved 'T ELLISON 4 LITTLE BATH ST LONDON''. Circa 1820.
T Ellison of Bath St, London , is recorded in Banfields' 'Barometer Makers and Retailers' book as working from 1810 - 1830.
