A stylish Edwardian oak desk chair with later bentwood back. With shaped arms and a central back bentwood back panel under a curved top rail, with a scalloped saddle seat over cabriole legs united by cross stretchers. The back is a later addition (would originally have a been a spindle back chair). In a beautifully figured solid oak, it would make a very stylish desk chair. Dating from the circa 1905

Fairly solid and sturdy, a little creaking here and there. General wear and marks commensurate with age. Later bentwood back panel.
