A lovely Edwardian period inlaid rosewood bonheur du jour, or ladies writing desk. Very well constructed in solid rosewood with attractive rosewood veneers onto a mahogany frame. Decorated throughout with inlaid detailing in boxwood and satinwood. The superstructure with a pair of stationary drawers and fitted with beveled glass mirror plates. The table itself is fitted with a sumptuous green leather writing surface and has a pair of drawers to the freeze. All standing on tapering legs, united by under-stretchers (giving rigidity) and terminating in their original brass castors. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops to a very high standard. Now offered for sale in excellent condition with a great colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.
