Here on offer is an elegant Edwardian davenport of good quality.

c1900.

This very pretty davenport has a mahogany top having lovely satinwood inlaid designs to the lid of the stationary box to the top, and also to the door of the cabinet.

In front of the stationary box is a lift up lid having an inset red leather writing surface, opening to reveal a storage area.

The lower cabinet section is made of rosewood with a single door which opens to reveal a single fixed shelf storage area.

The mahogany and rosewood has lovely figuring, with much warmth and richness to the wood.

Standing on castors.

Very solid sturdy and strong.

Bees-waxed and polished.
