Edinburgh Silver Spoon, L&R Edinburgh c1762
A nice, Antique, early George III, Scottish Sterling Silver Spoon made by Lothian & Robertson of Edinburgh and dating from c1762.
The spoon hallmarked with the maker's mark L&R for Lothian & Robertson, the Scottish thistle sterling silver mark, the "castle" town mark for Edinburgh and date letter for 1762/63. The marks are worn as can be seen.
The spoon is in good condition.
It measures approximately 8 1/4" inches (215mm) in length and the weight is 67.3g. Specialists in Antique Pocket Watches & Vintage Wristwatches, Jewellery, Silver (including Scottish Provincial),Good Quality Antiques & Works of Art.
