Early 19th Century Silver & Gilt Punch Ladle

This is a very smart early 19th Century Silver and Gilt Punch Ladle with a twisted Baleen handle. The ladle has a plain circular silver bowl with a gilded interior and the lower part of the stem is also silver. The rest of the stem is stained baleen with a barley twist and a silver finial.
The punch ladle is unmarked, which is quite common. For some reason these ladles often seem to have slipped through the net when it came to hallmarking. It is tested as high grade silver.
Condition is good, with just a couple of little dings in the bowl, no rubbing to the gilding and just the superficial surface wear that has to be expected with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The punch ladle is 36.4cm / 14.3ins long and 6cm / 2.3ins across the bowl. It weighs in at 44g / 1.5oz.
Shipping in the UK is £6.50 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post.
Overseas customers, please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
