A superb rare and unusual early 19th Century mahogany drum table, the wonderfully figured and crossbanded top above four working drawers, three faux drawers and a hinged pull out drawer with an ink tray and various compartments, one of the working drawers has a writing slope with a green leather writing surface decorated with blind and gold tooling, supported on a gun barrel turned column with carved beading at the bottom, terminating on a shaped platform base with readed bun feet. Circa 1830.
