Continental Silver Topped Scent Bottle, c.1900-30

This is an elegant Early 20th Century Continental Glass Scent Bottle with an 800 Grade Silver Collar and Top. The glass bottle is an upright rectangular shape with an inner glass stopper that has a grooved top. The neck of the bottle is mounted with a silver collar and the pull off lid is onion shaped and engraved with a crown.
The collar and lid are simply stamped 800 for 800/1000 grade silver, so we are unable to say who made it but it is most probably German in origin and is likely to have originally formed part of a larger set. It dates to the period between around 1900 and 1930.
Condition is very good, with no chips or cracks in the bottle and no dings or dents in the silver collar and lid. There are a few little nibbles around the bottom of the stopper but it remains perfectly usable. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The scent bottle is 9.7cm / 3.8ins high and the base is 3.4cm / 1.3ins by 2.9cm / 1.1ins. All together the bottle weighs 116.4g / 4.1oz.
Shipping in the UK is £6.50 by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For Parcel Post.
