Carved Oak Victorian Open Armchair

The Victorian revival of the early oak period produced this handsome armchair. The carving on the chair back is of exceptional quality. With carved scrolled arms, front legs and cross-stretcher uniting the legs, it copies the style of the late 17th century. The sprung seat is upholstered. Because it is 19th century and made of oak, it is a chair that can still be used.
