English Bronze Palstave axe the middle bronzehead dating from age period 1500-1200BC.
These tools would have been used for chopping wood and other organic materials.
In good state of preservation and possibly found in moist ground conditions due to its colour. The original finder did report it to the Newcastle museum but he has mislaid the paper work but it can possibly be traced on the portable antiquities data base.
12.5 cm long x 4cm blade width.
