Boxed Set of Six Liberty Silver Spoons c1923
We have for sale a very attractive 1920s boxed set of six silver teaspoons by the excellent manufacturer and retailer Liberty & Co.
These attractive heavy Liberty silver spoons all carry a lovely art nouveau design to the handles and each spoon carries full English hallmarks for Birmingham 1923, along with the Liberty and Co makers mark. The spoons are presented in their original green leatherette covered silk lined box. The interior of the box also carries the Liberty and Co label.
The spoons are all 4.5 inches (11.4cm) long all six together weigh a tiny fraction over 68g (68.04g by our scales. The spoons have crisp hallmarks and makers marks and are generally in a good to excellent condition, although two spoons have small indentations to the tip of the bowl where as a result of being rattled around in the box over the past ninety or so years.
