Bleached Wood & Marble Top Console Table
A superb console table with so much of life’s history to show.
Where has this table been? Possibly an 18th country house, it definitely has the look and quality. Was it previously painted or gilded?
Of pine and mahogany construction now bleached to a pleasing pale tone. Evidence of previous use and wear. Substantial piece of thick black marble with striking veins throughout.
Condition report..... losses and repairs to woodwork, old repair to marble top and nibbles to edges.....but in our opinion all the better for it, faded grandeur at its finest.
