Birch, London Georgian Dial Wall Clock

A fine quality, Georgian drop dial fusee wall clock. An elegant, well proportioned case with the original side carvings. A cast brass bezel surround to the 12" convex painted dial signed 'Birch London, with blued steel hands. A side door and an opening bottom door. Brass inlaid decorations to the flame mahogany case base. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism. Circa 1810.
John Birch of London worked from 1805 -1808 in Islington.
Height 22" / 56 cms Width 13" / 33 cms Depth 6 1/2 " / 17 cms.
