An absolutely stunning large antique Viennese sterling silver pill box made from a hefty gauge of Austrian silver.

All sides are decorated with a white guilloche enamel showcasing the intricate engine turned design below the top is adorned with hand painted pink/red roses and foilage.

The lid fits perfectly with a secure catch which snaps shut when not in use. The hinged lid opens to reveal a lavishly gilded interior both the base and lid are where the hallmark can be found, this one in use from 1872 to 1918 so late Victorian or Edwardian in era.

Excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age, no enamel loss. 2 1/2" x 1 7/8" x 3/4" A solid box weighing 97.50 Grams / 3.14 Troy Ounces.
