We have for sale a very attractive WW1 period large silver quaich by the excellent silversmiths and jewelers Goldsmiths and Silversmiths.
The quaich is of a round planished form extending to a single pierced handle. The quaich carries full English hallmarks for London along with the makers marks for Goldsmiths and Silversmiths an also the Goldsmiths and Siversmiths impressed address to the base.
This large silver quaich is 7 inches (17.8cm) wide, 5.25 inches (13.3cm) in diameter, 1.75 inches (4.4cm high) and weighs approximately 250g (8 troy Ounces. The quaich is in a very good antique condition other than the light surface wear one would expect from a well cared for piece of early 20th century silver, however the right hand edge of the makers mark is slightly rubbed.
