Arts & crafts Charles Horner Card Tray, Birm 1935

Something special for the Charles Horner collector, an unusual Charles Horner arts and crafts small dish or card tray.
This lovely planished arts and crafts card tray is of a circular form and decorated with a striking embossed Yorkshire rose to the centre. The tray carries full English Hallmarks for Birmingham 1935 along with the small jewellers sized makers mark typically used by Charles Horner at the Birmingham assay office. Pieces such as this card tray were were normally made by commission and as such are rather rare.
The tray is approximately 4 & 1/2 inches (11.4cm) in diameter and weighs approximately 58g. The tray is in a good antique condition but does have three small indentations to the base.
