A very fine small silver quaich / tastevin with single shaped lug handle and set on three cast lion paw feet with scallop shell and flower head terminals. Embossed decoration to the walls and smothered to the exterior with very finely cast detailed decoration of scrolling flowering vines and a stylised geometric border of feather tips running under an applied rope twist rim. Further matching decoration to the top of the handle. Made for Tiffany & Co. and marked to the base "Tiffany & Co., Sterling, 925" c.1890.

It measures 3.5cm (13/8) high, 6.3cm (2 1/2") rim to rim and 8.3cm (3 1/4") from rim to handle. It weighs a substantial 72g / 2.3ozt.

In excellent condition with no damage or repair and only minor handling wear the decoration is lovely and crisp throughout. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
