My name is Nick and I first got interested in glass at the age of 20 when my brother in-law who runs an auction house showed me some Georgian opaque twist drinking wine glasses and I was hooked and simply fell in love with glass and could not believe the beauty and craftsmanship involved in making such a fabulous piece of glass.
My interests started to grow and started to collect and read all about glass and started to collect 18th & 19th Century wine glasses, decanters, claret jugs, engraved glass, coloured glass, decorative glass, contemporary glass, British glass, Italian glass, French glass, Scandinavian glass and more categories in glass. I simply have a passion for anything made out glass.
I have been lucky to find some fabulous items and have entered these interesting glass articles into exhibitions and books.
I always look at a piece of glass such as an early drinking glass and think what stories you could tell and that’s what makes glass collecting so interesting as everything has a story to tell.
I am always learning and do get things wrong and do not profess to be a an expert as collecting is fun while enhancing ones knowledge along the way so do please feel free to contact me as nothing is better than a good old chat about glass and love to learn from other collectors.
Horvarth Toldi Vintage Glass are dedicated to the customer, making a glass purchase a memorable one and have been established now for some time.
Covering 17th & 18th and 19th Century Glass, Cut Glass, Engraved Glass, Coloured Glass, Edwardian Glass, Art Nouveau Glass, Art Deco Glass, Pre & Post War, Italian & Scandinavian, Pressed Glass, Paperweights & More.
