The desk has a very unusual D shaped tambour which conceals beneath it a fitted interior of pigeon holes, card index drawers and stationary compartments
The desk is a breaks down, it has an escutcheon plate from Wylle & Lockhead Glasgow, it has a key and working lock but this has been replaced, it also has had a hole cut in the back panel, I would assume that it was put there to accommodate wiring for a desk top computer, this had been repaired
