Artist: Attributed to Arno Breker- German, 1900-1991 Title: Eagle This powerful work isattributed to the German sculptor Arno Breker. The compact tension  of the crouching eagle mounted upon the wheelof progress, expresses the tension, energy and power of the German ideals ofthat period. It is not difficult to see how this image would be embraced by theGerman government at this point in time. But its sleek stylized form exhibitscharacteristics of the art deco period of the period.
