Antique stick back Windsor Armchair made from Ash Elm & Beech. Good original colour.
Stamped Birch Wycombe 1914.
We believe this chair was made by Charles Birch who's family are well documented chair makers from High Wycombe.
Charles worked from 1888 to 1914.
Good quality Windsor chairs were often purchased by the war department to furnish officers quaters & were normally date stamped.Hence First WW 1914.
Only really robust chairs were purchased to withstand heavy useage.
