Antique William IV Mahogany Writing Table / Desk
A gorgeous antique William IV period writing table in solid mahogany. This dates from around the 1830-40’s.
It is of extremely high quality, with thick turned and fluted legs, original brass handles and a gallery around the top. The mahogany has a beautiful colour, with a rich patina and plenty of character. The drawers are solid wood lined with fine dovetailed joints.
We have just had this revived & polished, it is in very good condition throughout, with various small marks and indentations, commensurate for age & consequently full of character.
This table could be used as a desk, dressing table or just a side table.
Width – 42 inches , 107 cm
Depth – 19 inches , 49 cm
Height – 30 inches , 76 cm
