A good quality William IV period walnut and burr walnut writing table. The thumb moulded and cross banded top with a replaced green leather writing surface with gold and blind tooling. The front having 2 burr walnut faced drawers with mahogany linings and opposing dummy drawers to the back. Each side with decorative well carved scrolling brackets, the front with harebells, the back plain. The base consisting of tapering dual end supports with scrolling carved decoration and platform bases with turned and gadrooned feet which have replaced sunken brass castors. The strengthening turned and tapering cross stretcher with tulip carved centre. The whole in excellent condition. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £55.
