Antique Victorian Piano Top Davenport, This mid Victorian 19th century burr walnut piano top pop up davenport is of lovely quality retaining its original polish the pop up letter compartment with a lovely pierced fret work gallery. The piano shaped front opens to reveal a adjustable leather writing slope with inkwells and pen tray to the side the interior also having two small drawers. The walnut davenport has four opening drawers these are all mahogany lined to the right hand side these have wooden turned handles to the opposite side having four dummy drawers. Under the shaped piano top there is a figured walnut panel with turned and carved decorative columns either side, standing on original Victorian castors. Circa 1870
