A handsome and good quality antique Victorian walnut metronome dating from circa 1880. In a beautifully figured walnut case, having a fancy brass plaque which reads “Best English Make Metronome De Maelzel London”. The door opens with a large catch to the side to reveal a scale finished in boxwood with impressed lettering and numbers. The brass pendulum weight has been finely milled in solid brass, and it is raised on three brass coated metallic bun feet. In good working order.

Good working order. General marks and wear commensurate with age. Wonderful original colour and patina. The removable base panel has a solid old mended split to it.
