This is an Antique Rosewood Nursing Chair c1850-70.  This wonderful quality piece is raised on short carved cabriole legs to the front with swept legs to the back.  The line from the knee of the front legs to the carved scroll at the top of the chair is really elegant.  This is clearly a superior quality piece and soo pretty.
