A wonderful solid sterling silver box with a lift off lid. The box was made on the continent, probably French and then imported to England with a full sterling import mark for London 1908.

The sides of the box are intricately engine turned, highly decorative. The lid fits well and is covered with a central panel of stunning Turquoise guilloche enamel with a bright shiny patina showcasing the pretty engine turned design below. This is bordered with a solid white enamel border. The interior of the box retains the original lavish gilding.

Excellent condition with a lid diameter measuring 1 5/8" x 3/8" tall.
