Antique Regency Mahogany Drop Leaf Sofa Table
Stunning Antique Regency Mahogany Drop Leaf Sofa Table and dating from around 1820. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a squared edge to the top with a drop leaf on either side which raises on a hinged support. The top has a fine ebony strung edge and to each corner of the drop leaves is a beautiful fleur de lys inlaid with ebony. This sits above two drawers both of which are oak lined and with original turned knob handles. To the back of the table there are two false drawers mirroring the front. It stands on lyre shaped supports with splayed legs finely strung with ebony on brass paw castors.
Measures 28" high x 26" deep x 36" wide (closed) x 60" (open)
In very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
