A handsome antique Regency / William IV chair in mahogany. A really good quality, solid chair with attractively carved top rail and bar back in beautifully figured mhogany, it stands on outswept sabre legs to the front and back. It has a drop in seat which has been newly reupholstered in an embroidered linen fabric with designs of birds and foliage in lilac on a stone ground. Solid and sturdy, with good original patina .Would make a superb desk chair. Dating from circa 1820-30.
