A stunning antique Regency open armchair in mahogany. It has a bar back with a central lozenge with inlay- most likely ebony and boxwood. The arms, sides and supports are all reeded and it stands on elegantly tapered legs joined by a central cross stretcher. It has been newly reupholstered in a chenille fabric with a design of circles in shades of cream. Solid and sturdy and recently fully restored this chair would make a beautiful desk chair, hall chair or dining chair.

Solid and sturdy. Newly reupholstered. Wear and marks commensurate with age. It appears to have been stripped and French polished fairly recently. It has had new replacement seat rails.
