This antique George III style deep buttoned leather armchair is very comfortable & has lots of character. It’s a kind of shortened version of a porters chair & these models are becoming very hard to find. The leather is in good original condition, naturally distressed & free from splits, tears & holes. It does have a lot of natural wear & markings, so please enlarge all the images to see for yourselves the condition. The inside of the back & arms, plus the seat are deep buttoned & the leather is hand tacked onto the frame. This armchair sits on tapered mahogany legs with grooves. I would date this chair to around the 1930’s period.
