A fine antique Georgian period open armchair / desk chair in mahogany dating from circa late 18th century. This charming chair has a lovely crisply carved back splat with intricate lattice design. The arms are shaped, curved and channelled. It stands on square channelled legs and has been newly recovered and re-webbed in a cream brocade fabric. Lovely warm age to the mahogany, a beautiful statement piece.

Solid condition. Old mends to the upright of the back splat with some small splits. Some bubbling of the veneer to the back of the seat rail. Newly re-webbed and recovered.
