A rare George II, Antique Silver Pint Beer Mug made by Isaac Cookson, Newcastle and dating from c1746.
The mug hallmarked on the base with the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head Crowned, the "three castles" Newcastle town mark and date letter "G" for 1746/47.
It is engraved with the letter "A".
The mug is in relatively good overall condition with minor indents to the body as can be expected of a mug that is over 260 years old !
